Utility OperatorFull time Americas - North America - United States - Dallas - ACD Dallas TXTo orchestrate sectional work activities to assure efficient manufacturing of a quality product that meets or exceeds expectations.Responsibilities:Perform changeovers and completes changeover setup formArranges assistance for changeoverResponsible for the cleaning for blenders/material changesMix or oversee the mixing of resins in middle and small areaCompletes paperwork for production sheet, labor log, scrap sheet and daily functional check sheet.Make sure scrap gets weighed and recorded on shift paperworkSet all secondary equipment (printer, punches, etc.) and test functionalityWatches for stack light alertsSupports and complies with safety and environmental guidelinesMake machine adjustments as needed for Packer/InspectorCalls for medical assistance and applies first aid if trainedCompletes maintenance request formsCloses orders in systemWatches rates and applies correct variance code in systemCollects, weighs and documents all scrap; enters in systemBill of Materials adjustments and correctionsWorks a 12-hour day, 4 days a week; weekend work is mandatorySecondary Responsibilities include:Continue to check run rates.Performs quality checks front to back (resins, silos, computer info., blender settings, etc.)Ensures tools are in proper locationEnsures axillary equipment is in working condition (press, vents V-board, etc.)Ensures the ink room is in proper orderCleans around extruders and blendersDocuments any maintenance and safety concernsOther duties as assignedQualifications:Basic math skillsSolid computer skillsGood English skills; Bilingual a plus (Spanish, Vietnamese)Experience with blown film extrusionAbility to troubleshoot & solve problemsAbility to provide guidance and leadershipStrong interpersonal skillsMust be punctual; at line on timePhysical Demands:Regularly required to stand, walk and communicateAbility to see and hearRegularly required to move up to 35 lbs.Regularly required to stretch and bendFrequently climb towers up to 35 feet high (cannot have fear of heights)Regularly required to climb or balanceEqual Opportunity Employer/Minorities/Females/Disabled/Veterans/Sexual Orientation/Gender IdentityAmcor is an Equal Opportunity Employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.If you would like more information about your EEO rights as an applicant under the law, please click on the "Know Your Rights: Workplace Discrimination is Illegal" Poster.
