Utility

  We are seeking reliable, hardworking, and adaptable Housemen, Utility Workers, Sweepers, and Housekeeping Workers for temporary assignments at Chelsea Piers based on client needs. These positions will support facility operations during the busy season and may include daytime, evening, and overnight shifts .

Ideal candidates are dependable, flexible, professional, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where assignments and responsibilities may vary based on operational needs.

• Perform general cleaning and housekeeping duties throughout assigned areas

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain clean and orderly floors and common areas

• Collect and dispose of trash and recycling properly

• Clean and maintain restrooms, public areas, back-of-house spaces, and assigned work areas

• Assist with moving, organizing, and maintaining supplies and equipment as needed

• Support facility staff with general utility and housekeeping tasks

• Help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for guests, employees, and clients

• Follow all health, safety, sanitation, and facility guidelines

• Complete assigned tasks efficiently and professionally during busy periods

• Be prepared to work day, evening, or overnight shifts depending on assignment and client needs

• Previous experience in housekeeping, janitorial, utility, porter, houseman, custodial, or similar work preferred

• Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically active environment

• Flexible and adaptable to changing assignments, tasks, and work areas

• Reliable, punctual, and professional

• Strong attention to cleanliness and detail

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

• Ability to bend, reach, lift, carry, and perform physical tasks as required

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally , with or without reasonable accommodation

• Comfortable working daytime, evening, and/or overnight shifts

• Ability to follow instructions and work independently when required

• Proficient in using mobile applications for daily work tasks

• Strong communication and teamwork skills
