Utility Machine Operator – Full-Time – Portland, IN 47371The starting pay for this position is $23.70/hr. with a shift increase for second and third shift. Hours: 3pm-11pm.POSITION SUMMARY:The Utility Machine Operator is responsible for filling in for vacation/absenteeism and must be able to perform all jobs and operate all machines in the department.RESPONSIBILITIES AND KNOWLEDGE:Responsible for operating machinery, understanding specs of the product being ran, documenting both on paper and electronically machine setting, weights and other data as neededMust be able to assemble, disassemble and clean equipment when needed and communicate issues to lead and supervisorKeeps a legible accurate record as required including entering data as needed into a computer-based systemPerform any other work as assigned by supervisorComply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF RequirementsMust perform all positions of rotation, if applicableMust be able to operate a Power Industrial TruckUse and read scales and thermometersAbility to perform basic math functions (adding, subtracting, multiplying, etc.) with use of calculatorPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.Must be willing and able to lift 50 lbs.
