- Drives project efficiency by coordinating manpower, equipment, and materials daily.
- Protects team safety by enforcing strict trenching and excavation standards.
- Ensures high-quality installations that meet municipal codes and project specifications.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and direct utility crews and subcontractors on active jobsites.
- Interpret construction plans, blueprints, and utility layouts for accurate installation.
- Coordinate the installation of underground water, sewer, and storm lines.
- Oversee excavation and trenching operations to ensure proper bedding and backfill.
- Maintain accurate grades and elevations using construction measurement tools.
- Lead daily safety meetings and enforce OSHA trench safety requirements.
- Troubleshoot field issues and make quick decisions to keep projects on schedule.
- Maintain daily production reports, material logs, and equipment records.
- Train and mentor laborers and apprentices in utility installation techniques.
