UX/Product DesignerDuration: 6+ Months (Possible extension) Location: New York, NY Hybrid (4 Days onsite)Responsibilities:Candidate knows when and where to use different design system components.Works very efficiently in Figma; designing and building prototypes of various complexity.Involved in planning, mapping out flows, journeys, and discovering research opportunities.They have demonstrable expertise with design systems and component libraries – their creation, maintenance, and governance.Works on and manages range of project sizes, balancing time as appropriate. Comes up with multiple solutions to solve various problems.Takes initiative on driving the work forward, keeps communication lines open and knows when to escalate.Is an effective and strong communicator. Develops strong cross-functional relationships.Thinks strategically across problem sets and applies solutions as appropriate.Strong independent contributor; requires minimal direction on routine work and general direction on new projects.
Requires minimal supervision on day-to-day tasks.Delivers thoughtful and polished work with great attention to detail that solves user and business needs. Able to identify inconsistencies in user journeys.Promotes best practices, design system guidance and production of high-quality deliverables.Education/Experience:Bachelor's degree in psychology, user experience, design, human computer interaction or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree preferred.6+ years of experience in UX design, with a focus on interactive design and visual design.Required Software/ Technology - FigmaFigma Make (AI element within Figma) preferredExperience planning, mapping out flows, journeys, and discovering research opportunitiesExperience in regulated spaces like fintech, finance, healthcare, SaaS, or insuranceExperience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
