Position Summary

As a Senior Software Engineer at Walmart, you will lead the delivery of scalable, secure software solutions by collaborating with cross-functional teams. You will drive the full software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, and deployment, while integrating AI/ML components to enhance system intelligence. This role requires strong technical judgment, continuous improvement, and proactive problem-solving to meet business objectives. What you’ll do

About the team: The team focuses on performance engineering within the VIZIO product line, ensuring all performance requirements are thoroughly validated. It utilizes an in-house developed reporting tool for comprehensive data analytics. Near-term objectives include benchmarking against competitor product lines to maintain competitive advantage. The team collaborates closely to deliver high-quality software solutions, emphasizing continuous development, debugging, and testing. Members apply strong technical skills in platform design, product strategy, and iterative development to drive innovation and maintain system reliability. This team plays a critical role in enhancing product performance and supporting business goals through data-driven insights.

What you’ll do:

What you’ll bring:

• Extensive experience in software development with proficiency in languages such as JavaScript, Python, Java, Rust, Dart, and C++.
• Strong expertise in object-oriented programming, code review, debugging, and documentation-based coding practices.
• Proven ability to deliver scoped features and models through collaborative, iterative development and continuous integration.
• Demonstrated skills in AI/ML integration and leveraging generative AI tools to enhance development efficiency.
• Solid understanding of platform design, product strategy, and technical solution design aligned with business objectives.
• Commitment to engineering excellence, technical ownership, and proactive problem-solving in complex environments.
• Effective collaboration and communication skills to engage cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:

Minimum Qualifications

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 3 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.

Option 2: 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
