nJob Description
nResponsibilities of the Sales Engineer include:
n• Responsible for pursuing leads, qualifying prospects, and managing all aspects of the sales
nprocess for both new and existing customers.
n• Responsible for generating leads through cold calls, referrals and territory-specific
nmarketingefforts that the Sales Engineer originates.
n• Responsible for development and delivery of product demonstrations.
n• Responsible for representing the product to customers and at field events such as conferences,
nseminars, exhibitions, etc.
n• Respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs/RFQs.
n• Attending and presenting the technology at trade shows and symposiums.
n• Convey customer requirements and an understanding of emerging applications to Product
nManagement teams.
n• Travel throughout the US sales territory.
n• Maintain an accurate customer database using Salesforce CRM.
n• Act on and resolve customer issues promptly and professionally.
n• Meet, or exceed monthly and annual sales goals.
n• Adhere to all company policies.
nQualifications
nThe successful candidate must:
n• Have an uncompromising, high level of integrity.
n• Be self-motivated and self-sufficient.
n• Have a proven track record in capital equipment sales.
n• Be knowledgeable of industrial materials-processing technology.
n• Be comfortable in the technical atmosphere with a dynamic and rapidly expanding customer
nbase.
n• Possess strong presentation skills and be able to communicate professionally in written
nresponses to emails, RFPs, and when submitting reports.
n• Be organized and analytical and able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive
napproaches.
n• Be prepared for 50% travel.
n• Have a minimum of 5+ years relevant experience in capital equipment sales.
n• Hold a BS degree in Engineering, or a related field.
n• Excellent written & verbal communication skills are essential.
n• Be a US Citizen.
n• Possess a valid US driving license and good driving record.
n• Be proficient at installing and demonstrating equipment at customer sites.
n• Demonstrate good mechanical skills, including the operation of computers and the mixing
nequipment.
n• Have a strong work ethic.
