Volunteer Description: US Poverty Advocate
Help build a country where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
Across the United States, millions of families are working hard to make ends meet while facing rising housing costs, food insecurity, and barriers to economic opportunity. The policies Congress chooses today will shape whether families can access affordable housing, put food on the table, and build a more secure future.
RESULTS is a nationwide network of everyday people who work together to influence those decisions. Through respectful, relationship-based advocacy, our volunteers encourage Congress to invest in proven solutions that reduce poverty and expand opportunity.
As a RESULTS US Poverty Advocate , you’ll help advance policies that strengthen nutrition programs, expand affordable housing, improve economic mobility, and support families through initiatives like the Child Tax Credit and Earned Income Tax Credit.
No prior advocacy or policy experience is required. We’ll provide the training, mentorship, and support you need to become an effective advocate.
