Lead Systems Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team for a 9-month project. This role requires a deep understanding of gas turbine engine performance and operability modeling, and offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology in a collaborative environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
- 7 years of gas turbine engine performance and operability modeling and analysis.
- 5 years developing NPSS (Numerical Propulsion System Simulation) thermodynamic models.
- Strong experience with steady-state performance modeling, transient operability modeling, and building, debugging, refining, and maintaining NPSS thermal/engine cycle models.
- Experience with gas turbine engine thermodynamics and physics.
- U.S. Citizen (required).
- Prior work experience in the industry.
Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience with MBSE and integrating NPSS models with Cameo.
- Requirements analysis/decomposition.
- Technical mentoring, cross-functional collaboration, and strong communication/presentation skills.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and analysis of gas turbine engine performance models.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integration and operability of systems.
- Provide technical mentoring to junior engineers and contribute to the overall success of the project.
