UX Designer (User Experience Designer)Possible 3 Month CTH | No Fees | Do Not Re-Post | ConfidentialWork location: Farmington Hills, MIRates: $58/hrBackground Check: MandatoryBasic Function: Responsible for leading experience design by collecting data from research, surveys, benchmarking, competitive analysis, and usability testing.We are looking for a highly creative UX designer who is passionate about human-centered design. Our ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of the latest research and user/usability process and tools as well as having the capability to find creative ways to gather necessary data under various situations. Collaborating with multiple teams, the UX designer should be able to take user challenges within the mobility domain and provide UX recommendations based on data to support creating safe, intuitive, and pleasant mobility experiences. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of the goals of the ask and is capable of finding innovative solutions to challenges.Scope and Competency Requirements:Problem-Solving/Know How: Four-year college degree in User Experience Design (User Information Management, or similar) or STEM major (Science; Technology; Engineering; Math) in terms of Design, and a minimum of four years of work experience performing research and user testing in the UX Design domain with consumer product, transportation, or similar.Required Experience: Proven experience with research and usability testing such as heuristic testing and a strong portfolio of projects.

Experience with research, surveys, benchmarking, and competitive analysis.

Experience with human-centered design process and a strong understanding of its concept and best practices.

Experience with creating personas, user journeys, storyboarding, and lo-fi prototyping.

Experience with PowerPoint presentations and storytelling with visual elements.

Experience with basic Adobe Creative Suite such as Illustrator and Photoshop.

Experience with leading projects. Organizational and time-management skills for meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Growth-minded, self-motivated, problem-solving aptitude, multi-tasking, holds accountability, strong collaborator, customer/user focused, friendly, ability to elicit requirements from internal/external customers, excellent communication skills.Preferred Experience:Familiarity with human factors and ergonomics.Testing in MR/VR/AR environment.Creating other lo-fi functional UI prototypes such as Sketch, InVision, Figma, Adobe XD, or other relevant tools.Motion graphics tool such as Adobe Aftereffects.Familiarity with automotive/mobility industry megatrends.Experience with linguistics or designing voice interaction/conversation.Consumer electronic benchmarking, competitive analysis, and usability tests.Attributes/Skills:Must be a capable team player and able to adapt to various project requirements.Ability to perform well in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.Has an understanding of user-centered design principles.Has some understanding of what types of experiences are made possible by current technologies.Must successfully complete any training or certification courses required to support or strengthen the position.Must be able to display strong self-motivation and initiation.Must have the ability to read, interpret, and follow verbal and written instructions, work procedures, and other related materials.Curious about people, how they live, work, and think. Enjoy meeting users and understanding how and why they interact with their mobility solutions.
