US - Cast Technician

Job TitleThe Cast Technician will assist physicians and clinical staff in the application, maintenance, and removal of casts, splints, traction, and other orthopedic devices. This role may perform limited patient assessments, contribute to documentation, assist in clinic flow and patient education, and function as a Medical Assistant depending on departmental needs and qualifications.Key Responsibilities:Performs direct and indirect patient care activities within the scope of practice of an Orthopedic TechnicianPerforms casting, traction and Ilizarov services under the direction and supervision of an Attending Orthopedic SurgeonDemonstrates open, accurate and timely communication with patients/families and interdisciplinary team members to ensure effective therapeutic intervention. Maintains competency, adheres to standards of practice, recognizes own learning needs to maximize professional development and optimal patient careRequired Qualifications:High Scholl DiplomaOrthopedic Technician experienceThe pay range for this position is $30.64 - $43.26/hour.

Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
