Jackson and Coker is seeking a Board Certified Urology Physician for a locum tenens opportunity in Michigan, starting August 3rd and continuing ongoing. This role involves both clinic and OR coverage with no call, offering a balanced schedule. The position requires expertise in general adult urology and various surgical procedures, supported by a comprehensive team.
Practice Info
- Practice setting includes both inpatient and outpatient
- Average of 20 patients per shift
- Support staff includes RN, MA, PA/NP, and office staff
- Facility Trauma Level: 3
- Da Vinci Xi robot onsite
- EMR: Athena (clinic) and Meditech (hospital)
Responsibilities
- Provide Monday–Friday clinic and OR coverage
- Perform general adult urology procedures
- Conduct laparoscopic surgeries
- Perform ureteroscopy
- Conduct renal and bladder ultrasound with biopsy
- Perform TRUS biopsies
- Conduct fertility work-up
- Manage admissions and hospital rounding during the workday

Shift & Schedule
- Monday–Friday clinic and OR coverage, NO CALL
- Typical schedule includes 4 clinic days and 1 OR day weekly
- 8:00 am – 5:00 pm; OR days may start at 7:00 am depending on block time
- 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotation
Requirements
- Board Certified (American Board of Urology or American Osteopathic Board of Surgery – Urological Surgery)
- Michigan medical license, Michigan CDS, and Michigan DEA
- ACLS
- Fellowship – highly preferred
- Successful completion of an ACGME- or AOA-accredited residency/fellowship or equivalent foreign training in urology
