LifePoint Health at Memorial Medical Center is seeking a Urology Physician to expand their provider pool. This is a locum tenens position offering both clinic and call coverage in a hybrid model. The role provides the opportunity to work in both outpatient and inpatient settings with comprehensive support from local urologists, nursing staff, urology technicians, and hospitalists.

Monday-Friday hybrid coverage: Either half-day clinic or elective OR plus inpatient coverage

Half-day clinic typically runs 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM, lunch break, 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM

Saturday and Sunday: Inpatient coverage only

Manage 5-10 phone consults per day

Handle active inpatient consults and rounding

Provide call coverage with 20-minute response time requirement

Work with adult patients with very few pediatric cases

MD or DO in Urology

Board Certification or Board Eligible in Urology

Valid state medical license

BLS certification required

ACLS certification required

Fellowship training preferred

Hospital privileges required (temporary privileges not available)

Current malpractice insurance (provided by vendor)

Location: Memorial Medical Center, 2450 S Telshor Blvd, Las Cruces, NM 88011

EMR Systems: Athena (Clinic) and Medhost (Hospital)

Trauma Level 4 facility

Supporting staff includes 1 Midlevel Assistant, 2 office staff members, nursing staff, and urology technicians

Local urologists available for consultation via phone

Hospitalists manage admissions

Travel Allowances: $300/night lodging (includes taxes/fees), $800 roundtrip airfare, $75/day rental car, 280 miles roundtrip mileage reimbursement

Holidays Allowed: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day

Monday-Friday Rate: $5,950 with 10 hours gratis; $490/callback hour for hours exceeding 10 hours

Saturday-Sunday Rate: $4,750 with 24 hours gratis (inpatient coverage only)
