Urology Physician

Locums - Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, Urology Job (IMLC Accepted)

Contract Length: Ongoing

Schedule & Coverage:

• Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

• 1-hour lunch break

• Mix of hospital rounds, operating room, and clinic coverage

• No nighttime or weekend call

• Coverage needed for approximately 6 weeks each month (please confirm this coverage requirement)

• When covering daytime hospital call, responsibilities include rounding, consultations, OR cases, and occasional clinic add-ons; no templated clinic time is scheduled during hospital coverage

Practice Details:

• Urology clinic with recent renovations

• 9 exam rooms and 3 procedure rooms

• 73-bed hospital

• Patient population: Adults; no pediatric patients

• Minimum 14 patients per day

• New patient visits: Up to 30 minutes

• Postoperative visits: 15 minutes

• EMR: Epic - clinic-based Epic experience required

• Support staff:

  • 3 medical assistants

  • 1 LPN

  • Surgical scheduler

  • 3 front office staff

  • Practice manager

Clinical Responsibilities & Procedures:

• Provide general urology care in clinic and hospital settings

• Perform hospital rounds and consultations

• Provide OR coverage

• Perform ureteroscopies

• Support occasional daytime hospital consults while assigned to clinic coverage

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology

• Active Pennsylvania medical license or IMLC accepted

• Active state DEA

• Minimum 3 years of experience

• Clinic-based Epic experience required
