Urology Physician

Locums Urologist needed in New York for a mix of clinic and OR time with dedicated weekly block time, plus 24 hour call coverage as needed.

• Practice mix is approximately 80% clinic, 20% OR.
• Support includes nurses and clinical assistants, 2 APPs, surg tech support, and an anesthesia team.
• Average clinic volume is 18 to 20 patients per day; inpatient rounding typically about 1 hour when needed.

Practice Setting

• Mix of inpatient and outpatient urology.
• Practice mix is approximately 80% clinic, 20% OR.
• Support includes nurses and clinical assistants, 2 APPs, surg tech support, and an anesthesia team.
• Average clinic volume is 18 to 20 patients per day; inpatient rounding typically about 1 hour when needed.

Schedule

• Monday through Friday clinic schedule, 8a to 5p.
• One 8 hour OR block per week using department block time.
• 24 hour call required, call can be phone or in person; weekend call coverage required.
• Call frequency is TBD; average under 10 calls per 24 hour call shift, 30 minute response time.

Cases and Procedures

• Urology cases including stents and stones.
• ED consults while on call, if needed.
• Case volume varies depending on complexity.
• Adult and pediatric patients.

Requirements

• Must be an MD or DO.
• Board Certified in Urology.
• Active New York license required
• DEA and CSR required.
