Job Summary

The Urology Faculty Practice is a high-volume clinic serving adults with various urological conditions. Services include office visits, RN triage, and urological procedures. The role involves managing ambulatory patient care, which may include nursing, laboratory, radiology, dental, and other services. The manager facilitates patient care activities, participates in practice management, and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to improve healthcare policies and standards.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Oversee operational clinic work, including RN telephone triage, procedures, and management of Apex in Basket.
  2. Manage clinic operational flow, ensuring quality care, patient safety, compliance, and standard work.
  3. Allocate resources—environmental, technical, and staffing.
  4. Manage fiscal and administrative operations as needed.
  5. Represent clinics on task forces or committees.
  6. Develop new programs, review technology, and lead quality and safety initiatives.
  7. Develop staff through shared governance and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  8. Manage patient care cost-effectively, including budget planning and management.
  9. Determine staffing needs and monitor service performance.
  10. Coordinate activities with other departments and clinics.
  11. Handle employee recruitment, performance evaluation, and staff development.
  12. Implement new patient care standards, policies, and programs.
  13. Collaborate with physicians on improvements and strategic planning.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Active RN license in California and relevant clinical specialty
  • American Heart Association CPR Certification
  • Minimum five years of clinical RN experience
  • At least two years of managerial experience in acute or outpatient care
  • Strong clinic management, compliance, and IT knowledge
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of regulatory and legislative environments

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience managing teams including LVNs, RNs, Techs, MAs
  • Experience in union environments and ambulatory settings
  • Surgical specialty background

Additional Information

This is a full-time, mid-senior level position in the IT Services and IT Consulting industry, based in San Francisco, CA. The role offers a competitive salary range of $234,000 - $246,000 per year, with actual pay based on skills and experience. Referrals are encouraged, and the position requires a dynamic, experienced clinical manager with a strong leadership background.
