- Based in the Level-1 763-bed trauma and academic health center, Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital/Carilion Children's Hospital.
- Provides comprehensive urology coverage to over one million people in a large, rural, multi-state area.
- Urology services are also provided in several other Carilion hospitals including Carilion New River Valley Medical Center, Carilion Giles Community Hospital, and Carilion Rockbridge Community Hospital.
- The section operates clinics in five satellite locations in the region.
Responsibilities
- Care for patients in the outpatient office along with additional OR responsibilities.
- Perform the full breadth of procedures of all levels of complexity.
- Actively involved in the education of medical students, residents from multiple CC-VTC training programs, allied health science students, and Virginia Tech undergraduate and graduate students.
- Provide clinical training for general surgery residents with the goal of establishing a urology residency program in the near future.
Compensation
- Min Starting Salary: $497,384
- Max Starting Salary: $713,823
- Eligible to participate in the Tier 1 and Tier 2 bonus compensation programs to improve the minimum salary.
- Historical averages of Tier 1 and Tier 2 bonus earnings are included in the maximum salary.
