Urologist

An acute care hospital in Illinois is seeking a urologist for an ongoing locum tenens assignment beginning ASAP. The clinician will provide day shift, call, and 24-hour call coverage across both inpatient and outpatient settings. General urological cases for patients of all ages will be managed on-site with the support of 24/7 hospitalists, anesthesiologists, and CRNAs. Board certification in Urology is negotiable for this role.

Practice Info

• Acute care hospital licensed for 106 beds and staffed for 58 beds
• Not a trauma center
• Facility features a 12-room emergency department, 5 OR suites, 1 Procedure Room, 1 Endoscopy Room, and on-site ultrasound and MRI
• Support staff includes 24/7 hospitalists, anesthesiologists, and CRNAs
• Patient population: All ages
• Case load/PPD: Variable

Responsibilities

• Provide day shift, call, and 24-hour call coverage across inpatient and outpatient settings on an on-site basis
• Manage general urological cases across both care settings
• Maintain availability for call obligations in accordance with the facility schedule
• Maintain on-site availability throughout all designated coverage periods
