Carilion Clinic and Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine (VTCSOM) are seeking a board-eligible or board-certified reconstructive urologist to join their expanding Section of Urology. This role focuses on advancing both academic and clinical urological missions in Southwest Virginia, with the goal of establishing an independent department and a urology residency training program. The position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a rapidly growing academic health system.

• The Carilion Clinic adult and pediatric urology programs were both founded in 2023.
• The Section of Urology at Carilion currently comprises three fellowship-trained urologists in oncology, endourology, and pediatrics, three general urologists, and a full complement of advanced care practitioners.
• This position is based primarily at Carilion Medical Center (CMC) in Roanoke, VA, a 700+ bed academic/tertiary referral center with Level I trauma center.
• Physicians in the health system are employed through Carilion Clinic with academic appointments at VTCSOM.

Compensation

• Min Starting Salary: $497,384
• Max Starting Salary: $713,823

Requirements

• Board-eligible or board-certified reconstructive urologist
• Completion of a Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery (URPS) formally recognized Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (FPMRS) fellowship is preferred but not required.
