The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Science at Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) is actively seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Urogynecologist to provide consistent, compassionate, high-quality, and patient-centric care. This role offers the professional benefits of a major academic/research medical center, including an academic appointment to the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. The successful candidate will contribute to a department with over 6,000 deliveries per year and an active teaching program for residents and medical students.

Practice Info

  • The position is primarily in Queens, split between City Hospital, Elmhurst (2 days per week), and Mount Sinai Queens (3 days per week).
  • Elmhurst hospital is part of the NYC Health and Hospital Corporation and is staffed by Mt. Sinai, caring for a diverse patient population, including the disenfranchised of NYC.
  • Mount Sinai Queens is part of the Mt. Sinai Health System, where the successful candidate will be establishing a practice in a significantly underserved area for urogynecology.
  • The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Science supports 32 residents in a four-year residency program and an active teaching program for third-year medical students.
  • All OB/Gyn sub-specialties are represented in the Department.
  • The department has 8 residents per year, 32 total.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Urogynecology care, including ambulatory care and surgery in the hospitals.
  • Perform general administration duties that include documenting and reviewing patient charts.
  • Be significantly involved in the training of Urogynecology fellows and research.

Compensation

  • Compensation range from $281,000 to $361,000 (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits).
  • The salary range listed is for full-time employment and does not include bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits.

Requirements

  • Medical Degree from an accredited program.
  • New York Medical License/Active NYS DEA.
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology and Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery.
  • Successfully completed a Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery fellowship.
  • Excellent communication, bedside manner, and organizational skills.
