- Focus on care for women with bladder and pelvic abnormalities, including pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, bladder infections, and sexual problems
- Fuses expertise from several specialties, such as urology, gynecology, and elements of gastroenterology

- Strong academic section in a tertiary care referral network with a busy ultrasound unit and high-risk practice
- Staten Island University Hospital performs approximately 3000 deliveries a year and has a level 3 nursery with a superb neonatology service
