Urgent Care Physician
Presbyterian Healthcare Services is seeking a part-time physician to make professional medical judgments in patient care. This role involves managing physician/patient relationships and contributing to systemwide health management initiatives. - Presbyterian Healthcare Services is a locally owned, not-for-profit healthcare system of nine hospitals, a statewide health plan, and a growing multi-specialty medical group.
- The health plan serves more than 600,000 members statewide and offers Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and Commercial health plans.
- The Regional Delivery System is a network of six hospitals and medical centers throughout rural New Mexico including locations in Clovis, Espanola, Ruidoso, Santa Fe, Socorro, and Tucumcari.
Responsibilities
- Makes all professional medical judgments in the care of patients seen.
- Manages the physician/patient relationship.
- Participates in systemwide health management initiatives.
- Provides input into the practice site's financial, clinical, and service quality performance; budget; capital plan; and personnel issues.
- Assists in the development and implementation of clinical and service standards.
- Receives and resolves patient complaints.
- Participates in the recruitment and replacement of other providers.
- Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, literature review, inservices, and workshops.

Requirements
- Successful completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited post graduate training program in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
