Sanford Health is seeking a BC/BE Family Medicine physician to join its Acute Care team in Sioux Falls. This role offers the opportunity to provide high-quality, convenient after-hours care for walk-in patients experiencing illnesses or injuries. The position can be part-time or full-time, working alongside a dedicated team of physicians and Advanced Practice Providers within one of the largest not-for-profit health systems in the US.

- 6 locations throughout the Sioux Falls area: 26th & Sycamore, 69th & Minnesota, 32nd & Ellis, 10th & Phillips, Sports Complex and Brandon
- Current staff of 6 physicians and 25-30 Advanced Practice Providers
Responsibilities
- Provide long-term, comprehensive care in the clinic setting
- Manage common and complex illnesses of adolescents, adults and the elderly
- Diagnose and treat cancer, infections and diseases affecting the heart, blood, kidneys, joints and digestive, respiratory and vascular systems

Requirements
- BC/BE Family Medicine physician
- M.D. or D.O. degree
- Successful completion of an Internal Medicine residency program accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada
- Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable
- If not board certified at the time of application but completed residency within the last five years, must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of residency training
- Experience can be demonstrated by residency procedure log and list of completed rotations (for recent graduates)
- Experience can be demonstrated by a quality profile from hospital(s) showing clinical activity for the last 12 months, including number of procedures performed, morbidity, mortality, infection rates and other complications (for applicants not directly out of residency)
- Must be able to demonstrate active involvement of clinical services to be at least 50 patients in the last 12 months
