Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for a wide range of urgent medical conditions.
- Perform minor procedures and interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., X-rays, EKGs, labs, CT scans, ultrasound, MRI, echocardiogram, PFT, urodynamic tests).
- Develops and implements patient management plans, records progress notes, and assists in provision of continuity of care.
- Communicate with patients regarding testing results, follow-up care, and additional information.
- Prescribe pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions.
- Refer patients to specialists and to relevant patient care components as appropriate.
- Collaborate with advanced practice providers and clinical staff to ensure seamless patient care.
- Document patient encounters accurately and timely in the electronic medical record.
Compensation
- $25,000 Sign-on Bonus for External Candidates
- The salary range for this role is $222,500 to $376,500 per year.
- Salary Range is defined as total cash compensation at target.
- Urgent care providers have an opportunity to work additional shifts for a pre-determined stipend amount and / or work in the primary care setting.

Shift & Schedule
- M-F 7:30am-6pm
- Sat/Sun - 7:30am - 5pm
- Providers are required to work 13 shifts per month
- Clinician will work rotating shifts between our two locations, Sumter and Manning, South Carolina.
Requirements
- Required: M.D. or D.O. from an accredited School of Medicine
- Required: Board Certification in a specialty field (Emergency, Family or Internal Medicine preferred)
- Required: Active, unrestricted license to practice medicine in South Carolina (or willingness to obtain)
- Required: Active DEA license with no restrictions
- Required: Ability to obtain ACLS & BLS certification within 90 days of employment
- Required: Proficiency with MS Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Preferred: Experience with EMR systems
- Preferred: Solid knowledge of urgent care protocols and procedures
- Preferred: Familiarity with OSHA and HIPAA regulations
- Preferred: Commitment to quality, safety, and infection control standards
