Join a hospital-employed Urgent Care opportunity in Portsmouth, OH, offering a dynamic environment within a facility that integrates both Urgent Care and Family Practice services. This role involves providing care in a fast-paced setting, requiring quick assessment and treatment planning for approximately 30 patients per day. Practice Info
- The facility consists of both Urgent Care and Family Practice.
- Office hours are 8:00a-8:00p.
- Staffing includes 1 nurse per provider and 2 providers per day.
- The expected case load is 30 patients per day.
- Equipment includes IV pumps, slit lamp, basic instruments, AED, and EKG.
- Lab, x-ray, and pharmacy have the same hours of operation as the UC services.
Responsibilities
- Move at a quick pace and not be overwhelmed by the unknown of what will walk through the door.
- Be confident in making a quick initial assessment and treatment plan.
- Complete charts timely.
- Participate in Antibiotic Stewardship.
Compensation
- Bonus Incentives: excellent bonus incentives up to 10% of salary.
- Medical School Loan Repayment: repay up to $200,000 ($25,000 per year for each year of service commitment).
- Sign on Bonus: 15% of base salary up to $100,000 (paid when contract signed and forgiven over 2-4 years).
- Residency Stipend: up to $25,000 (requires up to 2 year service commitment).

- Additional 40 hours when producing 75%tile wRVUs.

- Deferred compensation: 457b plan. Defer compensation up to IRS limit of $22,500 year before taxes. No matching.

- Moving Expense: $10,000 paid to moving company.
- Malpractice Insurance Coverage: in a claims made insurance, in an amount of $2,000,000, per claim/$6,000,000, aggregate.
- Health Insurance: provider pays small premium, deducted from paycheck.
- Liquidated Damages: 70 mile and 2 year non-compete clause or liquidated damages of one year salary.
Shift & Schedule
- Open 7 days/wk, 8am-8pm.
- (6 or 7) 12 hour shifts per two week pay period.
- Rotating weekends.
