Urgent Care Physician

A well-established practice in Gainesville, FL, is seeking a full-time Urgent Care Physician to join its growing team. Responsibilities

• Be willing to learn and utilize EMR and tablet/laptop technology at the bedside
• Prescribe and administer vaccinations to immunize patients from communicable diseases
• Promote health by advising patients about diet, hygiene, and methods for prevention of disease
• Perform surgical procedures commensurate with surgical competency
• Refer patients to primary care physicians or medical specialists for consultation services when necessary for the well-being of the patients
• Document the patients’ visits including medical history, physical exam, diagnoses, and plan of action
• Follow-up with patients regarding progress in high risk or emergency cases
• Follow-up daily on laboratory tests and X-Rays

Compensation

• Salary range: $450,000 – $500,000
• $200/hr (expected but could be more depending on production)
• Productivity bonus

Shift & Schedule

• Full-time
• Monday–Friday (8am – 8pm)
• Weekends (10am – 4pm)

Requirements

• MD or DO with specialization in Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine
• Board Certified or Board Eligible
• Active Florida medical license (or ability to obtain)
• Board-Certified Urgent Care or Emergency Physician (preferred)
