Inside Upholsterer / TrimmerBaker Furniture is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Inside Upholsterer / Trimmer to join our manufacturing team in High Point, North Carolina. This role is responsible for applying decorative nail trim and finishing details to high-end upholstered furniture while maintaining exceptional craftsmanship and quality standards.The ideal candidate will have experience working with luxury furniture, decorative trim applications, skirts, bullion, tape, fringe, and brass detailing. Precision, consistency, and pride in workmanship are essential for success in this position.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesApply decorative nail trim to upholstered furniture using pneumatic nail guns and hand-driving techniquesPerform finishing applications including bullion, tape, fringe, and skirtsPosition furniture units on lifts or bucks for trimming operationsInspect furniture pieces prior to trim application to ensure readiness and quality standards are metRead production tickets and select the correct trim materials and nail stylesHand-start corners and straight lines to ensure accurate trim alignmentAdjust staple lines as needed to ensure proper trim coverageCorrect uneven nail placement using hand tools such as hammers and flathead screwdriversMaintain and clean nail guns, nail hoppers, and work equipmentKeep work area clean, organized, and safe at all timesMove completed units to designated staging areas for the next production processFollow all company safety procedures and guidelines to prevent workplace injuriesCollaborate effectively with team members and production staff to meet quality and production goalsQualifications & RequirementsRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent2+ years of experience working with high-end or luxury furniture (Required)Trimmer Experience: 2 years (Required)Experience with: Decorative nail trimBrass trim applicationsUpholstered furniture finishingSkirts and trim detailingStrong attention to detail and craftsmanshipAbility to use hand tools and pneumatic equipment safely and effectivelyAbility to stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shiftPreferred QualificationsExperience in upholstery finishing techniques and decorative applicationsOutside Upholstery experience is a plus.CompensationCompetitive hourly pay based on experience (DOE)Overtime opportunities availableBenefits401(k)401(k) MatchingHealth InsuranceDental InsuranceVision InsuranceLife InsurancePaid Time OffEmployee DiscountScheduleMonday through Thursday (5:48 AM - 3:18 PM); Friday (5:48 AM - (9:48 AM)Overtime as neededWeekend work as neededWork LocationHigh Point, North Carolina In-person positionRelocation to the High Point, NC area prior to start date is required.Join Our TeamIf you are passionate about fine craftsmanship and take pride in producing high-quality upholstered furniture, we encourage you to apply and become part of the Baker Furniture team.
