Universal Banker, Community Bank (NYC)
Pay: $45,500 – $50,000 plus an annual discretionary bonus
About the role
A New York community bank is hiring a bilingual Universal Banker to deliver great service at every customer touchpoint. You’ll handle transactions, open accounts and recommend the right products to support the branch’s growth goals.
What you’ll do
- Greet customers and give one-stop service, both in person and by phone and email.
- Identify customer needs and recommend deposit, loan and cash management products.
- Open new accounts and complete onboarding paperwork in line with policy and regulations.
- Process teller transactions, cash vault work and wires at teller stations, smart ATMs and cash recyclers.
- Follow up with customers and refer them to other departments as needed.
- Follow bank policy and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
What you bring
- Fluent English and Spanish (required).
- 2+ years in retail banking, as a teller, universal banker or personal banker.
- Strong customer service skills and an interest in sales.
- Comfort with technology: Microsoft Office, online banking, ATMs and remote deposit capture.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
Schedule: availability Monday through Sunday based on branch needs, with occasional travel between branches. The job involves standing for long periods and lifting up to 25 lbs.
