Unit 45 (Short Stay/Medicine/Telemetry) Part-Time Registered Nurse 2, 7:00PM-7:30AM, $2,500 SIGN-ON BONUS!!!

Under general supervision, provides direct patient care to assigned patients.

Education: Associate Degree from an accredited School of Nursing required.

Licensures/Certifications: Current registration with the Maryland State Board of Examiners of Nurses as a Registered Nurse. Healthcare Provider CPR biennial. Additional certifications (e.g. ACLS, PALS, NRP) for specialty care areas are required upon hire.

Experience: One-year Registered Nurse experience required.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assessment: Compiles database and formulates nursing diagnosis, utilizes physical assessment and interview techniques, anticipates need for intervention by other disciplines, determines priorities for patient care needs or problems, reassesses patient as conditions change.
  • Planning: Initiates and updates written nursing plan of care incorporating scientific and psychosocial principles that support nursing diagnosis; incorporates information from nursing care planning conferences; coordinates patient, family, significant others and health team members in planning hospital and post‑discharge care.
  • Implementation: Performs clinical nursing skills independently; administers medications, IV therapy and treatments; initiates appropriate emergency procedures; delegates and coordinates duties of ancillary personnel; documents patient status and plan of care; verbally communicates status to physicians, nurses and other health‑care professionals; communicates therapeutically with patient, family and visitors; applies teaching/learning principles.
  • Patient Care Coordination: Manages daily patient assignment, delegating responsibility, monitoring nursing care delivered by ancillary personnel, coordinating patient activities with other disciplines.
  • Teaching and Quality Improvement: Develops, documents and implements patient teaching and discharge planning record; participates in education program; participates in clinical monitoring; identifies problems and takes action or refers to appropriate resources.
  • Professional Excellence Model: May participate in activities of the RN 3 (except serving as facilitator for Nurse Residency Program); if competent, serve as charge RN and monitor productivity/patient flow; if competent, precept new staff.

Pay Range: $31.25 - $48.02 per hour. Final salary offer will be based on the candidate's qualifications, education, experience and alignment with our organizational needs.
