Underwriting AssistantNew Heights Insurance Solutions, a specialty crane, rigging, and specialized transportation (CRST) insurance division, is seeking an organized, detail-oriented Underwriting Assistant to support our underwriting team. This is a fully remote position, offering a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to grow their insurance career while working alongside AI-enabled tools and systems.Responsibilities include:Assist underwriters with submission set-up and processingRespond to coverage inquiriesReview and process endorsementsSupport rating functionsComplete general administrative tasks as requestedAssist with auditsPrepare and review premium finance agreementsReview key underwriting documents, including submissions, loss runs, MVRs, CAB reports, and DOT reportsPerform state and federal filing requestsCalculate surplus lines taxes and feesFollow up on outstanding submissions, quotes, documents, and paymentsOther duties as assigned, including but not limited to additional job functions as required by the management teamQualifications include:High school diploma requiredActive Property & Casualty (P&C) license requiredProficient in Microsoft Excel and WordWillingness to learn and work with AI-powered toolsExperience with AIM and ImageRight management systems a plusStrong written and verbal communication skillsFriendly, professional demeanorAbility to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environmentStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to work independently and stay productive in a remote settingSalary:Disclosure required under applicable state or municipality regulations: The expected salary range for this position is $60,000 to $65,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate's skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position's business line, scope and level.
