Rank will depend on the candidate's qualifications. We will consider candidates who hold a doctorate in Nursing or a related field. Interested applicants with limited teaching or leadership experience will be considered and enrolled in the Faculty Mentoring program, designed to develop them into seasoned faculty.

This aligns with the Franciscan approach to developing academics, beginning where they are and using transformative approaches to academic development.The position reports to the Dean of Nursing, provides oversight of the undergrad clinical compliance, is expected to collaborate on curriculum, assessment, and other academic matters, and teaches courses. The University of St. Francis is a welcoming community of learners committed to enhancing diversity and equity.Essential Duties & Responsibilities - Uphold and fulfill the mission and philosophy of the Leach College of Nursing.Participate in and promote a culture of continuous quality improvement.The Undergraduate Clinical Compliance Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and monitoring student clinical compliance requirements for all enrolled undergraduate nursing students.

This position supports regulatory, accreditation, agency, and clinical partner requirements to ensure that students are eligible to participate in clinical learning experiences. The coordinator serves as a liaison among students, faculty, clinical agencies, and university departments to maintain accurate compliance records and support successful clinical placement processes. Teach selected courses and participate in scholarly activities.Provide service to the University, Leach College of Nursing, and the community: Serve on appropriate University/College and Governance Committees; Participate in University/College activities including faculty, students, and alumni; Cooperate in the recruitment and retention of students; Engage in scholarly endeavors and research for professional and scholarly growth.Participate in professional programs and attend workshops and/or classes for personal enrichment; Participate in College projects in the area of expertise.Minimum Requirements - Master's degree in nursingCurrent RN license or eligibility for licensing in IllinoisTwo years of experience in clinical nursing practiceTeaching experience in baccalaureate nursing programsEvidence of self-development through participation in continuing education offerings, advanced study, scholarly pursuit, and/or professional and clinical activitiesWillingness to uphold and fulfill the mission, vision, values, and traditions of the University of St. FrancisAbility to perform the physical requirements of the positionPreferred Requirements - DNPor Ph.D in nursing or related fieldHours/Shift/Work Schedule - This is a full-time, nine-month contract position, operating August through May each academic year. We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package. Work hours may vary based on program and clinical needs, and teaching responsibilities may include online courses. Course assignments may include day, evening, night, weekend, and summer offerings as needed.Physical Requirements of Position - Work is performed in classroom and office settings with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards.
