Overview:
Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices. Provides patient services utilizing ultrasound equipment. Demonstrates knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology. Provides patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics. Communicates effectively with staff and radiologists.

Qualifications:
Education
* an approved CAAHEP Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or an approved Sonography Program by the ARRT. Required or
Work Experience
* No experience required Required
* 1 year of experience Preferred
Licenses and Certifications
* ARDMS/ARRT(s) registry eligible Required and
* BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and
* ARDMS - Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonography Licensure requirement for Breast Ultrasound can be met with registration through ARRT (BS), or ARDMS
