Job Summary

Under minimal supervision, performs basic diagnostic ultrasound procedures, as requested by a licensed physician. Exercises professional judgment in providing health care services to assist in diagnosis or treatment of patients in all age groups from newborn to elderly. May be multi‑credentialed in the area of sonography.

Anyone traveling more than 60 miles one way to Holy Cross is eligible for a travel stipend of $60 per day.

Responsibilities

  • Produces high‑quality diagnostic sonographs as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
  • Assists with amnio procedure biopsies.
  • Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period.
  • Processes and files films as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Requirements
    • Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Diagnostic Sonography.
    • Certifications: Must be registered within 24 months of graduation (and 12 months of hire); BLS.
  • Preferred Requirements
    • Experience: 1‑3 years.
    • Education: Associate’s degree.
    • Certifications: ARDMS or ARRT(S).
