- Status: Ongoing Full Time Assignment
Responsibilities
- Explain the ultrasound procedure to patients, ensuring their comfort and cooperation during examinations.
- Analyze and interpret ultrasound images, recognizing normal and abnormal anatomy and documenting findings for physician review.
- Perform a variety of ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and musculoskeletal studies. Use Doppler ultrasound to assess blood flow and detect abnormalities.
- Perform routine maintenance and quality control checks on ultrasound equipment.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and sterile environment during ultrasound procedures.
- Ensure adherence to CA DPH regulations and hospital policies, maintaining licensures and training.
Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field.
- Certification from a recognized accrediting body, such as the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
- Must have at least 3 years of Ultrasound experience
- Proof of Continuing Education Units (CEU’s) if applicable
- Current CPR Card issued by American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
- Must have proof of MMR, Varicella vaccinations or titers.
- Must have Proof of TB/PPD or Chest X-ray within the past 12 Months
- Current Annual Health Clearance
