OhioHealth is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations, ensure patient safety and comfort, and collaborate closely with physicians and care teams to support accurate clinical decision-making. You will maintain equipment, follow established protocols, and document findings in the electronic health record. Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to physician orders and established protocols.
  • Prepare, position, and educate patients to ensure comfort, safety, and understanding of the ultrasound procedure.
  • Operate and adjust ultrasound equipment to obtain optimal images and recognize significant findings in real time.
  • Document exams accurately in PACS and electronic medical records, ensuring complete and timely reporting.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and referring providers to communicate pertinent clinical information and support diagnostic decision-making.
  • Maintain strict adherence to infection control, patient safety, and HIPAA privacy standards.
  • Perform routine equipment quality control checks and report any malfunctions or service needs promptly.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe imaging environment for patients and staff.
  • Participate in ongoing education, competency assessments, and quality-improvement initiatives within the department.
