Ultrasound Tech II

Operates and maintains proficiency on all ultrasound equipment in the department, ensuring quality imaging. Performs patient examinations using appropriate scanning techniques, and labels images with correct identification numbers.

Reviews appointment schedules and suggests changes to maximize use of equipment and staff, ensuring efficient service to patients and physicians.

Experience and Education

• Experience required.
• Previous hospital experience preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
• Successful completion of physics and abdominal boards through ARDMS.

Licensing Requirements

• Candidate must be CPR Certified.
• Registered with ARDMS in Abdomen.
