Key Responsibilities
- Installation and configuration of vCenter server 5.5, ESXi 5.5 hosts in large environment on HP BL 460C & Cisco UCS B Series Blade servers on both protected and recovery sites.
- Experience on configuring the FI, vNIC & vHBA etc.
- Experience on Disjoint Layer 2 network technologies and its design in UCSM.
- Experience on configuring, managing & troubleshooting the Boot from SAN.
- Perform zoning on Fiber Channel switches & troubleshooting on switches such as Brocade/Cisco/Mcdata.
- Good understanding on UCS components (2nd & 3rd generation) configuration on design & best practice.
- Basic knowledge on network/storage and end-to-end architecture with UCSM.
- General provisioning, build, patching, decommissioning process knowledge.
- Hands-on experience on UCS servers and VMware, monitoring the alerts through V-Centre/UCS Manager console, providing Level 2/3 support for UCS Servers and VMware, raising TAC with Cisco/EMC/VMware.
