U.S. Tax Workflow Evaluator

Role Overview

Help improve next-generation AI systems by evaluating real-world U.S. tax filing and financial workflows. This remote contract role applies practical tax and financial knowledge to structured reviews, feedback, and workflow assessments. Prior AI experience is not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Review, annotate, and assess U.S. tax filing workflows and related financial processes.
• Use detailed instructions and defined rubrics to evaluate accuracy, completeness, and user experience objectively.
• Compare system-generated outputs with real tax documents and scenarios.
• Connect personal financial accounts through a secure Plaid login, plus personal Gmail and Google Drive, to support workflow reviews and document sharing.
• Provide relevant tax documents for project use after personally identifiable information has been sanitized.
• Communicate findings through written and verbal feedback as needed.
• Work asynchronously with project coordinators and provide timely deliverable updates.

Qualifications

• Currently reside in a mainland U.S. state and can start immediately.
• Demonstrated financial literacy and hands-on experience filing 2025 U.S. taxes independently or with a CPA or tax professional.
• Comfortable securely connecting personal Gmail, Google Drive, and financial accounts for project-specific use.
• Strong document review and annotation skills, with close attention to detail and consistency.
• Experience using structured evaluation criteria or rubrics, including data annotation, RLHF, quality review, model assessment, or workflow assessment, is preferred.
• Clear, precise written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with Google Workspace, including Docs, Sheets, and Drive, and the ability to follow digital workflows.

Work Terms

• Remote contract engagement focused on a short-term U.S. tax and financial workflow evaluation project.

Compensation

• $35 to $110 per hour.
