It is the standard by which we conduct business every day.A & Associates is seeking an experienced and motivated Business Development Manager to work directly with the Executive Vice President in identifying new business opportunities, expanding client relationships, and supporting strategic growth initiatives. The successful candidate will play a key role in business development, government proposal preparation, market research, client communications, and executive administrative support. The position requires exceptional writing abilities, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects while consistently meeting deadlines.Proposal Development ResponsibilitiesThe Business Development Manager will assist with the preparation and submission of government and commercial proposals utilizing established company resources and content.

Responsibilities include:Researching government bids, solicitations, contracts, and grant opportunitiesPreparing, editing, proofreading, and formatting proposalsRewriting proposal content based upon management feedbackAssisting with proposal strategy and developmentCreating project schedules and proposal timelinesDeveloping graphics, presentations, and supporting proposal materialsCoordinating with graphic designers and other internal departmentsMaintaining a consistent professional writing styleConducting research to support proposal developmentPreparing executive presentationsAssisting with business development documentationMeeting proposal deadlines while maintaining exceptional quality standardsEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssist with identifying and developing new business opportunitiesBuild and maintain relationships with prospective and existing clientsResearch prospective customers and market opportunitiesParticipate in client meetings, networking events, and business development activitiesConduct and participate in interviewsCommunicate with clients to understand operational needs and staffing requirementsRecommend staffing solutions based upon client objectivesMaintain detailed reports regarding sales activities, client communications, and business development effortsPrepare territory sales forecasts and business reportsCoordinate executive travel, meetings, and appointmentsPrepare meeting agendas and record meeting minutesRespond to administrative inquiries and requestsRetrieve and organize information from company records and databasesMaintain office filing systems and recordsMaintain office supplies and coordinate office equipment maintenanceAnswer and direct incoming telephone callsWelcome visitors and clientsAssist with expense tracking and petty cash documentationSupport research initiatives and special projectsPerform additional duties as assignedRequired Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesExcellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skillsOutstanding editing and proofreading abilitiesStrong organizational and time management skillsExcellent presentation skillsAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyAbility to consistently meet deadlinesStrong analytical and critical thinking skillsExcellent customer service skillsStrong sales and relationship management abilitiesAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionAbility to work effectively in a fast paced environmentHigh attention to detail and accuracyProficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPointExperience creating professional presentations and business documentsEducation and ExperienceA minimum of 1 year of related business development, proposal writing, marketing, sales, or administrative experience is preferred.Previous experience preparing government proposals, responding to public sector solicitations, or working within the staffing industry is highly preferred.Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint is required.Physical RequirementsAbility to remain seated for extended periods while working on a computerAbility to occasionally lift up to 15 poundsAbility to travel as needed for meetings, conferences, networking events, and client visitsCompensationStarting salary ranges from $65,000 to $70,000 annually as an exempt employee, based upon qualifications and experience. Eligible employees may participate in company sponsored benefits following successful completion of the introductory employment period.ScheduleThe normal work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
