We offer a career with fantastic benefits, including:Amazing retirement package to secure your futureAffordable medical insurance to keep you and your family coveredGenerous paid time off so you can rechargeFREE life insurance & long-term disability for peace of mindFREE parking – because the little things matter too!What You'll Do:Oversee and manage all components of the Tuberculosis ProgramProvide direct patient care and case management for TB clientsConduct contact investigations and high-risk population screeningsPerform nurse clinic assessments and home visits for TB clientsRespond to disease outreach activities and high-risk exposure situationsProvide technical assistance and treatment guidance to community partnersPrepare charts and assist the TB Clinician and/or Local Health Authority with patient assessments and treatment proceduresCollaborate with leadership to evaluate program effectiveness and implement improvement initiativesProvide orientation, education, and training related to TB program responsibilitiesSupervise staff, coordinate schedules, and assist with staff development and performance managementPromote excellent customer service and assist with cross-training effortsMaintain compliance with HIPAA, public health regulations, and organizational policiesAssist with public health emergency response efforts as neededPerform other duties as assignedWhat We're Looking For:Graduation from an accredited nursing programCurrent licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of TexasMinimum one (1) year of experience as a Registered NurseMinimum one (1) year of supervisory and/or program management experiencePreferred experience in a public health clinic or programCurrent Healthcare Provider CPR certificationExcellent communication, leadership, and organizational skillsStrong presentation and training abilitiesKnowledge of healthcare operations, public health regulations, and compliance standardsProficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple prioritiesCustomer-service oriented with strong interpersonal skillsAbility to travel locally for home visits and outreach activitiesAbility to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if neededMust comply with immunization and ICS training requirementsMust pass background check, MVR check (if applicable), and drug/alcohol screeningEquivalent education and experience may be consideredApplication Deadline: Open Until Filled No phone calls please ADA / EEO / DFWPOur Mission: Protecting and Promoting the One Health of Galveston CountyEqual Employment Opportunity Statement Galveston County Health District is an Equal Opportunity Employer and values diversity in the workplace.
