Trusts & Estates ParalegalLocation: New York, NY (3 days in-office) Classification: Non-Exempt Work Schedule: Hybrid – 3 days onsite, 2 days remoteWe are seeking a highly experienced and agile Trusts & Estates Paralegal to join our team in New York. This role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has deep experience in all phases of estate and trust administration, and can seamlessly support multiple attorneys with varying needs and personalities.What You'll Do:Handle probate and estate administration from start to finish, including preparing and filing petitionsPrepare IRS Form 706 and NY Form ET-706, and coordinate supporting documentationDraft legal documents such as Receipts and Releases, LLC formation documents, and deedsObtain EINs, open estate and trust bank accounts, and prepare required documentation for brokerage transfers and vehicle title changesCommunicate with clients regarding estate matters, including difficult conversations around tax obligationsOrder and compile date-of-death valuations for various estate assetsManage and prioritize constant requests from multiple attorneysSupport ongoing tasks with professionalism, discretion, and a client-service mindsetWhat You'll Bring:Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Trusts & Estates Paralegal in a law firm settingStrong working knowledge of probate procedures and Surrogate's Court filingsProficiency in preparing federal and state estate tax returns (Form 706, ET-706)Experience drafting basic estate and trust documents, forming entities (LLCs), and preparing deedsConfidence to handle sensitive family and tax conversations with empathy and clarityAbility to juggle competing priorities from multiple attorneys while maintaining high-quality workExceptional communication, organization, and multitasking skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management systemsBachelor's degree and/or Paralegal Certificate preferred
