Truck Mechanic

Job Description

We are seeking a hands-on Truck Mechanic / Diesel Mechanic to support and maintain a fleet of approximately seven trucks at our Cambridge, OH facility. This role is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing mechanical issues, and completing routine repairs to keep equipment operating safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance on company trucks and equipment.

Conduct routine servicing, inspections, and greasing of fleet vehicles.

Repair and replace brake chambers and other mechanical components.

Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using computer diagnostic tools.

Complete basic diesel engine repairs and troubleshooting.

Maintain accurate maintenance records and inspection documentation.

Ensure all repairs are completed safely and in compliance with company standards.

Work closely with operations and plant leadership to minimize equipment downtime.

Skills and Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.

Diesel mechanic experience.

Experience performing preventative maintenance and routine truck repairs.

Ability to use computer diagnostic software and equipment.

Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.

Valid driver's license. CDL (Commercial Driver's License).

Experience maintaining commercial trucks, trailers, and fleet equipment.

Knowledge of hydraulic, brake, and electrical systems.
