Truck Driver

Description
This position involves picking up and delivering materials according to a schedule. All duties are performed in accordance with company safety policies and Department of Transportation (DOT) road safety regulations. This position reports to the aggregate trucking manager.
Requirements
Experience

• Transport aggregate material/products to and from locations
• Verifying types of materials and ensuring loads do not exceed weight restrictions
• Ensuring materials are loaded correctly
• Entering accurate mileage into tracking system
• Inspecting the truck before and after trip with the vehicle inspection report
• Promptly reporting accidents, injuries or mechanical faults
• Maintaining accurate driver logs
• Complying with all safety rules and regulations
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Education
Current valid class A driver's license and safe driving record, medical examiners certificate, communications skills, attention to detail, high school diploma/GED.
Preferred Skills
Team player, time management, self-motivation, integrity, experience operating standard dump truck.
