Position Description

Primary Duties:
CDL truck driver, who operates and maintains commercially licensed motor vehicles (primarily truck and trailer combinations). Job consists of shift work in Lane County area Sunday thru Saturday, all shifts. Prefer CDL driver experienced in end dump or belly dump.
Position Requirements
Physical/Mental Requirements:
  • Strength : Capable of continuously turning steering wheel, manually shifting gears and depressing foot operated pedals on mechanical, hydraulic and/or air powered systems; lifting mechanically assisted trailer tongues; pushing and/or pulling tarp covers; lifting cab hoods; removing and/or replacing wheels; wearing personal protective equipment.
  • Flexibility: Capable of walking on uneven, slick and/or broken surfaces; climbing into and out of truck cabs, dump boxes and/or trailers; turning neck to left and right sides while observing rear view mirrors; sitting while being bounced.
  • Dexterity: Capable of performing multiple tasks simultaneously (e.g., steering, shifting and/or braking); flipping switches and pushing buttons.
  • Respiratory Capacity: Capable of wearing a respiratory protection device while working in hazardous atmospheric conditions.
  • Endurance : Capable of performing assigned duties for eight or more hours at a time in hot, cold, daylight, nighttime, wet and/or dusty environments, and/or in confined, noisy, desolate, heavily trafficked and/or highly active job site conditions.
  • Responsiveness : Capable of identifying through sight, sound, smell and/or touch, and reacting quickly to, hazardous situations.
  • Communication: Capable of verbally asking questions, responding to questions, relaying information, and responding to and alerting others of hazardous situations.
  • Mental: Capable of understanding and following instructions; remembering and repeating routine tasks, routes and schedules; recognizing and following common safety practices.

Additional requirements:
Must have excellent driving history
Must have CDL Class A
Must be self motivated.
Must have at least 3 years of driving semi trucks (80,000 lbs and over)
Must pass fitness for duty physical exam
Must pass fitness for duty physical exam
Must pass DOT drug/alcohol test.
Prefer tanker and doubles/triples endorsements.
