Trim Carpenter

A trim carpenter works with the trim carpentry crew to install millwork, molding and trim of windows, doors, baseboards, crown molding, mantels and other ornamental pieces. A trim carpenter installs cabinetry and some fixtures as required. The carpenter will generally have an inventory of his own tools. The work involved is physically demanding, which includes bending, kneeling, lifting, carrying, climbing and standing for long periods. Ability to properly cut different types of lumber to their appropriate shapes and sizes and fastens same with speed and accuracy Ability to work independently and be responsible for precision work Ability to use all types of finish carpentry tools, i.e miter, scroll, skill and jigsaw, belt sander, router, electric planer, etc Installed products including baseboards, trim, crown, doors, stair railings, cabinetry, etc.
