Description
• Responsible for general cleaning and maintenance of the tribal administration building, i.e., office, lobby. Tribal chambers and the immediate grounds surrounding the administration building.
• Responsible for ordering and maintaining a complete inventory of supplies, materials, and equipment.
• Responsible for maintaining and making minor repairs on machines, equipment, and tools.
• Performs minor maintenance services, i.e., electrical, plumbing, painting, air conditioning systems, and carpentry.
• Clean office areas, bathrooms, and front lobby area; i.e., mop, strip, and wax floors, furniture fixtures, walls, and windows; trash and garbage containers.
• Perform building maintenance, replacing window/light fixtures, A/C filters, repairing woodwork, replacing floor tiles, filters, and replacing washers in faucets.
• Perform landscape work on the immediate surrounding grounds area, i.e., cutting grass, trimming trees, and watering grass.
• Assess major repairs needed and get estimates on service costs for repair work.
• Ensure all offices, work areas, and the administration building are secured at the end of operational hours.
• Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must be able to undergo and pass a DPS/FBI fingerprint background investigation, and cannot have two (2) or more misdemeanors or felony convictions.
Education and/or Experience
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• 2-year work experience in a related field
• Must have experience in the operation and care of equipment, safety practices of equipment, i.e., floor polishers, power saws, power mower/tractor, hand tools, used for office and grounds keeping.
• Must have experience in custodian and grounds work.
