Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Trial Attorney based in Valparaiso, IN, with flexibility to work from home for part of the schedule. Compensation is competitively based on experience level and qualifications. The position offers paid vacation(s), 401K, and insurance benefits. The Trial Attorney will be responsible for representing clients in court, preparing legal motions and briefs, conducting depositions, and handling trial litigation. Tasks include reviewing case files, advising clients, and collaborating with other attorneys to develop legal strategies while ensuring the highest standards of ethical practice and professionalism.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge and expertise in Criminal Law, with the ability to provide thorough legal analysis and guidance
- Proficiency in drafting and filing legal motions and related documents
- Familiarity with Court procedures and processes, including interaction with judges and opposing counsel
- Experience in conducting Trials and Depositions effectively
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, both in writing and verbally
- License to practice law in the state of Indiana
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a diverse caseload
- Commitment to upholding ethical legal practices and advocating for clients diligently
