Role Description
The Trial Attorney will handle complex litigation matters related to the company’s products and operations, including case assessment, strategy development, and representation in state and federal courts. 15 years of experience is preferred. Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting and arguing motions, preparing and conducting depositions, managing discovery, and developing trial themes aligned with regulatory and commercial objectives. The role involves close collaboration with internal stakeholders, outside counsel, and subject-matter experts to assess risk, ensure compliance, and protect the company’s interests. The Trial Attorney will also review contracts, advise on legal exposure, and support responses to regulatory inquiries or investigations. This is a full-time, on-site role based in New York, NY.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Law with experience in civil litigation, class action product liability, personal injury, or healthcare-related matters
- Demonstrated experience managing Trials, including trial preparation, courtroom advocacy, and case strategy
- Proficiency in handling Motions and related pleadings, including drafting, briefing, and oral argument
- Experience appearing before various Courts, with understanding of procedural rules and local practices
- Skilled in conducting Depositions, including witness preparation, examination, and use of testimony at trial
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active bar admission in New York (or eligibility for admission)
- Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills, with attention to detail and sound judgment
- Ability to communicate complex legal issues clearly to non-legal stakeholders and collaborate in cross-functional teams
- Experience in medical device, healthcare, or technology sectors is beneficial
- Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously and work effectively in an on-site, fast-paced environment
