We are looking for an experienced trial attorney to join a growing personal injury litigation team in Los Angeles, California. This position focuses on plaintiff-side injury matters from the point a case enters litigation through resolution, with support from a dedicated legal staff.
The role is well suited to a lawyer who is confident in courtroom preparation, case strategy, and negotiation, and who wants to contribute within a collaborative boutique firm environment.Responsibilities:• Oversee a portfolio of active personal injury litigation matters, guiding each case from filing through settlement, mediation, or trial.• Develop litigation strategy by preparing pleadings, drafting motions, managing written discovery, and coordinating deposition work.• Review medical documentation and case evidence to assess damages, liability, and overall claim value.• Negotiate with opposing counsel and insurance representatives to pursue favorable resolutions for clients.• Prepare thoroughly for trial proceedings, including witness coordination, exhibit review, and courtroom support as needed.• Work closely with paralegals and other support professionals assigned to the litigation team to keep matters progressing efficiently.• Use firm technology platforms, including case management and Microsoft-based tools, to maintain accurate files and communication.• Partner with firm leadership on case evaluation, litigation planning, and advancement of plaintiff personal injury matters.
