Trial Associate

Overview

• The role involves litigation on a mixture of commercial, employment, trademark, and other intellectual property matters.
• Associates will gain experience in all phases of litigation, from pleadings through discovery, dispositive motion practice, trial, and appeal, handling cases in federal, state court, and arbitration.
• Specific tasks include research, brief writing, discovery, oral advocacy, depositions, trial practice, and appeals in complex litigation matters, with an emphasis on hands-on work.
• New Jersey bar admission is not required but considered a plus.
• Dorsey & Whitney LLP advises companies across a diverse range of industries, with a focus on Banking & Financial Institutions, Development & Infrastructure, Energy & Natural Resources, Food, Beverage & Agribusiness, Healthcare & Life Sciences, and Technology.
• The firm's client base includes over one-third of Fortune 100 companies.
• The position offers an option for a lower billable-hours track with a proportional salary adjustment, and associates are eligible for the firm's bonus program.
